Bruqin: Israeli colonists set fire today to a bulldozer in the town of Bruqin, located in the central West Bank province of Salfit, according to local sources. The incident marks a significant escalation in tensions as land clearing activities continue in the area.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the mayor of Bruqin explained that the bulldozer, which was owned by a local resident, was deliberately torched by colonists. This act of arson has heightened concerns among the local Palestinian population about the ongoing land disputes and the safety of their properties.
The mayor further reported that since early Thursday morning, five Israeli military bulldozers have been actively clearing Palestinian-owned land in Bruqin. These operations involve constructing roads and open spaces in close proximity to residential homes, some as near as just 10 meters away. The encroachment has raised alarms about potential threats to the community's safety and the further loss of Palestinian land.
