Tulkarm: The Israeli occupation forces have continued their aggressive operations in the city of Tulkarm and its neighboring camp for 108 consecutive days, and the Nur Shams camp for 95 days, amid escalating tensions and reinforced military presence.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, military vehicles from the Nitzani Oz checkpoint have been deployed towards the city and its camps, creating disruptions by honking horns and obstructing traffic. Infantry units have been particularly active around Nablus Street, affecting the flow of citizens and vehicles between the Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps.
The occupation forces have intensified their ground operations in Tulkarm and Nur Shams, enforcing a strict siege that prevents residents from accessing their homes or retrieving belongings. Explosions, live ammunition, and sound bombs have become common in the area. Recent days have seen significant destruction in Nur Shams, with residential buildings in several neighborhoods being demolished.
The demolition plan in the Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps targets 106 homes and residential buildings, leading to heightened tension as residents expect further demolitions and face forced displacement. Occupation forces have also seized homes on Nablus Street, converting them into military posts, while military vehicles have maintained a presence for over two months.
The ongoing aggression has claimed the lives of 13 citizens, including a child and two women, one of whom was pregnant. Numerous injuries and detentions have occurred, and the infrastructure has suffered extensive damage, with homes and businesses facing destruction and vandalism.
The conflict has displaced over 4,200 families, affecting more than 25,000 individuals from the Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps. More than 400 homes have been completely destroyed, and over 2,500 have been partially damaged. The camps have been isolated with earth mounds, leaving them devoid of life.
