Occupation Forces Impose Curfew on Qabatiya, South of Jenin


Jenin: Israeli occupation forces imposed a curfew on the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin. The governor of Jenin announced in a press statement that the occupation forces have initiated a military operation in Qabatiya, which includes a 48-hour curfew starting this morning.



According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the occupation forces stormed the town at dawn, accompanied by military bulldozers. They commenced with the destruction of streets and infrastructure, and also severed water and electricity lines. Ahmad Zakarneh reported in a phone call with WAFA that the main entrance to the town, from the Martyrs’ Roundabout to the Jerusalem Roundabout, was destroyed. Additionally, citizens’ properties, shops, and vehicles were vandalized, side roads between houses were demolished, and parts of the Martyrs’ Cemetery at the town’s entrance along with a caf© were bulldozed.
