Paris: The French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Noël Barrot, announced on Monday that the European Union could soon launch a new round of sanctions against extremist Israeli colonists involved in violent acts in occupied Palestinian Territories. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Barrot, speaking at the Paris Peace Forum, highlighted that both national and European sanctions have already been applied to those involved in violence. He emphasized the EU's commitment to addressing the issue through targeted measures. Barrot also noted that the EU's sanctions regime, which has been activated twice before, could soon be activated for a third time. This potential third activation would reaffirm the EU's stance against extremist activities and reinforce its efforts to promote stability and peace in the region.
