RAMALLAH: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said today that the Israeli occupation authorities' seizure of thousands of dunums of Palestinian land is a systematic undermining of the two-state solution. In a statement, the Ministry said the Israeli government continues its sheer defiance of relevant UN resolutions, especially Resolution 2334, to introduce changes to the existing historical, political, legal and demographic status quo in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, undermining the possibility of implementing the two-state solution. The Ministry condemned the Israeli government's racist colonial policy to seize thousands of dunums of Palestinian land, most recently the seizure of 441 dunums in the villages of Shabtin, Deir 'Ammar and Deir Qaddis, west of Ramallah. It called for the imposition of international deterrent sanctions on the occupying authorities, Israel, to force it to stop colonization and dismantle and disarm the colonial militias, considering that colonization is a di rect and serious threat to the arena of conflict and the opportunity to revive the peace process and achieve political solutions to the conflict.
