Gaza: At least 21 Palestinians were killed and others injured on Saturday in a series of Israeli airstrikes targeting Gaza City, Deir al-Balah, and the Nuseirat area in the Gaza Strip.
According to Palestine news and Information Agency - WAFA, medical sources confirmed that 21 people were killed in the attacks. The casualties included nine bodies arriving at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, four at Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat, and eight at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah.
WAFA correspondent reported that an airstrike hit a vehicle near the Abbas junction in the Remal neighborhood, resulting in the deaths of at least five people and injuries to others. In a separate incident, four people were killed and others injured when Israeli fighter jets bombed the Al-Khudari family home on Al-Lababidi Street in the Al-Nasr neighborhood, west of Gaza City.
The correspondent further detailed that Israeli warplanes struck the Ammouna family home in the Nuseirat refugee camp, leading to the death of one person and injuries to others, who were transferred to Al-Awda Hospital. Additionally, four people were killed and others injured when the Abu Shawish family home in Nuseirat was bombed.
In Deir al-Balah, an airstrike targeted the Abed family home near Bilal bin Rabah Mosque, resulting in four fatalities and injuries to others, who were taken to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital. Meanwhile, a Palestinian was injured by Israeli army fire in central Khan Younis amid heavy tank fire south of the city.
Earlier, medical sources announced that the death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 69,733, most of them children and women, since the start of the Israeli aggression in October 2023. They added that the number of injuries has reached 170,863, while a number of victims remain trapped under the rubble, inaccessible to rescue and ambulance crews.
