Nablus: Israeli occupation forces detained 16 Palestinians, including a woman and several former prisoners, during raids across the Tulkarm and Jenin governorates in the occupied West Bank on Sunday.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, in Tulkarm, local sources reported that Israeli forces detained Batoul Jamal from her home in Kafa village, south of the city. The forces also detained former prisoners Abdel Fattah Azem Al-Qadumi, 57, and Ammar Manna, 63, from Tulkarm city.
The sources added that former prisoners Alaa Shaheen from Irtah suburb, Faisal Mahmoud Khalifa, 44, Hossam Aref, 49, Ali Abu Al-Rub, Adel Qassem, and young man Mohammad Qassem were detained after their homes in Iktaba suburb, east of Tulkarm, were raided.
Residents reported that Israeli forces raided homes in Bal'a, east of Tulkarm, and detained Saeed Shahrour, Mahdi Adnan Al-Hajj, Ibrahim Adnan Al-Hajj, Mohammad Abu Sitta, and his brother Bahaa Abu Sitta. Additionally, forces conducted extensive searches and interrogations in the towns of Qaffin and Zeita.
Meanwhile, in Jenin, the Palestinian Prisoner's Society stated that Israeli forces detained two Palestinians during a raid. Ibrahim Al-Jabbar from Al-Hadaf neighborhood and Omar Abu Aqel, the brother of the slain Palestinian Raafat Abu Aqel, from Kharouba neighborhood, were detained after their homes were searched.
