Jeddah, The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation condemned the Israeli occupation’s targeting of the Greek Orthodox Church building in the Gaza Strip, which led to a number of civilian casualties, including women and children, and considers this a crime added to the record of daily war crimes committed by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people. And places of worship are in flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law.
The organization renewed its call on the international community to intervene urgently in order to stop the brutal Israeli military aggression against the Palestinian people, warning of the danger of continuing the humanitarian catastrophe as a result of policies of collective punishment and the Israeli blockade imposed on the civilian population in the Gaza Strip, starvation and deprivation of water, medicine, food and electricity. fuel and other basic needs, which constitutes a war crime and a crime against humanity under international law.
