Lebanon and Israel Officially Start Ceasefire Following 14 Months of Fighting.

Beirut: The ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon has officially gone into effect earlier on Wednesday. The announcement comes after 14 months of intense conflict, which recently escalated into full-scale war, causing significant destruction and loss of life.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, the Israeli occupation forces launched intensive raids on Lebanese towns and areas just hours before the ceasefire agreement. The raids included Israel’s most intense round of bombings in Beirut since the conflict began. The ceasefire was officially announced at 4 a.m. on Wednesday following these aggressive military actions.

Local authorities reported that the strikes nationwide claimed the lives of at least 42 individuals. The ceasefire aims to halt the violence and bring a temporary respite to the affected regions, with hopes for longer-term peace negotiations to follow.
