Israeli forces storm Jenin, damage infrastructure


JENIN: Israeli occupation forces Wednesday dawn stormed the city of Jenin and detained five citizens.

Security sources told WAFA that large forces of the occupation army, reinforced with military vehicles and bulldozers, stormed the city from Haifa Street, as the bulldozers began destroying the infrastructure on Al-Zahraa neighborhood street at the outskirts of the Jenin camp and next to the Jordanian field hospital.

The occupation army opened fire on civilians in front of Jenin Governmental Hospital. Confrontations also broke out in the camp, Jenin neighborhoods, and the cinema roundabout, with military reinforcements continued from Nazareth Street to Jenin.

Confrontations also took place with the occupation forces at the Burqin roundabout and near the Kafarqud village roundabout.

The sources added that an Israeli drone flew over the sky of the city and its camp during the storming of the occupation forces, which were deployed in a number of the city’s neighborhoods, and deployed their snipers on the roo
fs of some high buildings, while the city saw military build-ups of the occupation forces towards Nazareth Street.

Security sources said that the occupation forces detained five citizens from the city of Jenin and its camp and the town of Yamoun to the west, after raiding their homes and tampering with their contents.
