BETHLEHEM, Israeli authorities Wednesday prevented the municipality of the town of al-Khader, south of Bethlehem, from opening an agricultural road in the area, said a local activist.
Ahmad Salah, coordinator of the Anti-Settlement Committee in al-Khader town, said Israeli army stopped work on a road in the town’s Um al-Rokba area.
The municipality was working on opening a road alternative to the main entrance to the town which was blocked by Israeli authorities almost two years ago, under the pretext of being built without an Israeli-issued permit.
