Israeli army dismantles West Bank school made of caravans

HEBRON, The Israeli army dismantled on Wednesday Khillet al-Dabe school in Masafer Yatta, in the south of the occupied West Bank, and seized the caravans that make up the school, according to Rateb Jbour, a local activist.

He said that the army returned to the village early Wednesday, a day after declaring an intention to remove the school, and took away the caravans that were supposed to make up the classrooms for the school which was planned to be opened with the start of the new school year.

The Palestinian Ministry of Education has been building schools in Area C of the West Bank, the most vulnerable area due to full Israeli control over it, as a mean to support the steadfastness of the local Palestinian population and prevent Israeli takeover of the lands for the sole benefit of Jewish settlers.
