Israel bans two Jerusalem women from praying at Al-Aqsa Mosque

JERUSALEM, The Israeli police Monday informed two Palestinian women from occupied Jerusalem that they cannot enter Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem’s Old City for two consecutive weeks.

WAFA correspondent said the Israeli police ordered Nafissa Khowais and Aida Sidawi not to enter the walled Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, Islam’s third holiest site where they usually go to pray, or they will be arrested.

Khowais, 66, was interrogated on Sunday night about her presence and worship at Al-Aqsa Mosque before she was banned from entering it for two weeks.
