HEBRON: Armed Israeli colonists this evening attacked Palestinian shepherds and prevented their access to pastures south of Hebron, according to local sources.
Local sources told WAFA that groups of armed colonists, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, chased shepherds out of pastures in the Masafer Yatta area and destroyed nearly 100 dunums of crops belonging to residents.
The armed colonists further carried out provocative tours near residents’ homes and prevented them from leaving their homes.
Khaled al-Qimri, a local resident, reported that a group of colonists from the illegal colony of Otnael, west of Yatta, broke into Khillet al-Farra hamlet to the southwest of Yatta under the protection of Israeli forces and attacked several residents. He said forces confiscated their cell phones and forced them to sit on the ground for long hours.
In the meantime, large military Israeli forces stormed the town of Dura, south of Hebron, and conducted wide-scale raid and search operations into residen
ts’ homes.
WAFA correspondent said that Israeli soldiers raided, searched, and tampered with the contents of residents’ homes located near the illegal colony of Najhot, west of Dura, after confiscating their cell phones and identity cards and forcing all inhabitants out.
