Arab League secretary-general calls for mobilizing efforts to halt Israeli aggression on Gaza


RAMALLAH: The Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, today stressed the importance of mobilizing efforts to support the Gaza Strip, and intensifying work to stop the aggression in Gaza.

In his speech before the Arab Forum for Multidimensional Social Development, held in the Qatari capital, Doha, and jointly organized by the Arab League and the Ministry of Social Affairs in Qatar, Aboul Gheit highlighted that this forum represents a pledge to work towards restoring the Palestinian society, which embodies the values of steadfastness and adherence to the land.

The forum also addressed the repercussions of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.

Aboul Gheit pointed out to the humanitarian catastrophe that the Arab region is witnessing as a result of the horrific Israeli crimes committed in the Gaza Strip for 124 days in a raw, which constitute a serious breach of international law and humanitarian principles, calling for immediate halt to Israeli attacks and massacres in Gaza.
